Sienna X - Tonight's the Night.

Hey my lovelies,

Well it has been a while since I last post, I'm not going to give excuses, when I haven't been busy I've been lazy. So I'm going to start of with my review of the tan solution Tonight's the Night by Sienna X.

As you know I am a mobile spray tanner and love all things tanning. So when I finally got round to buying the Sienna X - Tonight's the Night 2 hour solution, I was a little excited. Having released this product last year, Sienna X already have a plethora of reviews about the solution, not to be deterred by being late to the party I thought I'd add my review to the pile.

To obtain a perfect tan, Sienna X suggest that the solution only needs to be left on the skin for a minimum of 2 hours for light to medium skin tones and between 2 and 4 hours for medium to olive skin tones. Since I am of the fair skin variety, I felt suited to try this tan and wash after 2 hours.

On application, I found this solution to go on with a rustic tone, resembling the sun kissed look of a natural tan. Very nice and natural, suitable to wear whilst going about your daily activities. The scent of the tan is also extremely pleasant, not too overbearing or biscuit based, again suitable for wearing throughout the day.
After 2 hours the colour had not darkened, which again was ideal for those getting a spray tan during their lunch. I duly showered, excited to see if it had worked, to which a nice light golden glow appeared. With my fair skin, the level of tan was ideal, especially for those who do not like an obvious fake tan look. Although, I do have to say that I felt the tan continued to develop. A day later the tan had gotten darker, it is important to note that I did not get too dark, just a little bit more bronzed.

Having conducted this experiment, I decided the next time I tan, to leave the solution developing for up to 4 hours. Again I was happy with the results, 4 hours development did not leave me looking orange but with a darker glow, much more the colour I like. Although, I must stress I do love the obvious fake tanned look.

I now offer the tan to my clients, it's a perfect fast acting tan, suitable to wear during your working day. Perfect for those last minute night outs that occur.

As a small end note, I apologise for the lack of pictures within this post. Next time I need a tan I will use Sienna X and post pictures asap, which will no doubt be the weekend.

Bye for now

Wow Tan verses SunJunkie

Hi everyone,

As you already know I am a huge Sunjunkie fan, but it is always good to check out others brands. I was given a free sample of 10% spray tan solution from Wow tan, many thanks to the team from Wow tan, so I decided to do a verses against my beloved Sunjunkie.
In order to provide a fair test and to compare the results, my tanning partner and myself became the test subjects, we both have the same skin tone which made the analysis a lot simpler.

The Results

On application there was only a few subtle differences, Wow tan went on the skin with a brick red tone, compared to that of Sunjunkie, which had an olive tone. The scents of the solutions was quite similar and  Wow tan states that their solution contains aloe vera and insect repellent as additional properties, these additions do not compromise the scent of the tan during application.
During the wash off stage, after the allotted 8 hours wait, the tans had both developed nicely. The Sunjunkie tan had developed in to an even olive tan, whilst the Wow tan had developed into an even tan with a hint or red to it, on the fair skin it made it look sun kissed.
The 'life' of the tans was were we noticed the difference. With Sunjunkie the tan lasted nearer 9 days and faded gradually, with no patchy bits noticed. Unfortunately the life of the Wow tan was not as long, it had faded within 5 days and had went quite patchy on its fade off.

Having compared the two brands Sunjunkie is still my preferred choice, yet I would say that the Wow tan provided a good tan initially and would be suited to someone who tans weekly, as they would  not be tanning on top of old tan.

Beauty Balm Foundation

Hi everyone,

Ive been using full coverage foundation for years, but always felt that its was too heavy during the warmer months. So I decided to venture into the world of Beauty Balms. Having been a big fan of MUA cosmetics, I decided to try their Beauty Balm Foundation, £4, in shade medium. I love MUA for the fact that they provide good quality and good value, and with their beauty balm they did not let me down.

On application, the BB Foundation provided the coverage it promised, skin tone and blemished were evened out and covered. The BB Foundation felt lightweight on the skin, for a dewy look the foundation was best left on its own, or for a more matt look a loose powder applied on top was suffice. The only negative point I can raise for the BB Foundation is that the staying power on the face is not as  long as my usual full coverage foundation. After a few hours wear, my skin felt greasy to the touch, with patches appearing upon my face.
After reading many positive blog post about the BB Foundation I can only conclude that this greasy effect can only be down to my skin type, combination skin. For my foundations I opt for oil free products, as to minimise the greasy effect, if MUA could make their Beauty Balm Foundation oil free, then I'd most certainly be a convert.

Sunjunkie: Too kind.

Hi everyone,

I think I may have a brand crush.
Since my review on Sunjunkie spray tan, the sales team have been in-touch to thank me. I was impressed that they appreciated my review, then surprised when they sent me a thank you gift, and then delighted when I received it.
My gift consisted of a Sunjunkie self tan set, a shower gel, a dark mousse and a mitt, a branded Sunjunkie mug and a branded teddy bear. I therefore felt the need to show my appreciation to Sunjunkie by posting on Twitter about it and posting an entry here.
Product reviews on the shower gel and mousse will very shortly be conducted, as I am rather excited about using them.
On a cheeky note to the sales team at Sunjunkie, should you need anyone to write product reviews you know where I am.

Sunjunkie Spray Tan

Hi everyone,

Since my first foray into blogging was to announce my arrival, I felt I should follow this with a product review, start as I mean to go on.
Sunjunkie fake tan came to my attention via trade advertisements, the catchy name and marketing of the product was so effective that I felt compelled to place an order.
Previous to this order I had used brands such as Xen Tan and Sienna X. When using these brands on clients I was always happy with how the product was too use. Personally I felt that the 'life' of the tan was quite short lived and that the 'fade' of the tan was always patchy, I hoped that Sunjunkie would be different.
On arrival, Sunjunkie did not let me down, the packaging looked good and was of good quality. The marketing included with the solution was of a high caliber, highlighting the fact that the company designs and makes the product within the U.K, a fact I feel many people are unaware off.
I ordered the 12% solution out of personal choice, again Sunjunkie met my expectations. The solution was easy to use on clients, dark enough to see the spray yet not too dark to deter the client. The scent left by the tan is light and unoffensive. The rub-off on clothing and bed linen is reasonable and easy to remove by standard wash cycles. The 'fade' after washing the next day is minimal, the tan remains strong and even, the 'life' of the tan lasted a good 7 days. Positive feedback was received by all clients and from personal use I would recommend Sunjunkie anytime.
As an add on to this product review I must praise the Sales team for Sunjunkie. Poor organisational skills on my part, meant that I did not have enough solution left in stock to accommodate the clients I had booked in. Therefore I had to contact the team directly and organise more stock, I received such good service, a fantastic deal and prompt delivery. I would highly recommend the brand to anyone wishing to use the solution for personal or professional use.

Newbie in the room!

Hey everyone,

Since totally immersing myself into the world of Twitter I have decided to lauch my very own blog. I love reading other peoples blogs regarding fashion and beauty, regularly going to my many favourites for advice on what to wear, how to style myself, new make up, new hairstyles, nail art and my current passion fake tanning.
I have been an avid tanner for years now, trialing everything I could lay my hands on. From the classic St. Tropez to the unknown brands stocked in the pound special stores, ranging from the clear 'do it yourself' lotions to the salon spray tanning systems, I am simply not afraid to try somethin new. My love for all things beauty has lead me down the path of becoming a professional spray tanner, and with that the joy of regularly making my clients feel and look great.
The world of social media and blogging has been a great source of information for myself and many people like me. Had these forums not existed, I know I would have still  loved fake tanning but I may never have had the opportunity to express just how much.
